Release Notes for Mindbreeze InSpire
Version 26.5
Release Highlights
Mindbreeze Insight Workplace – New Features and Optimizations for Insight Touchpoints
Mindbreeze Insight Touchpoints make corporate knowledge easily accessible and provide users with trustworthy, context-relevant answers to complex questions. Footnotes and visual highlights in the generated answers help users evaluate the content. Footnotes reference the information sources used to simplify the clear identification of the origin, and direct quotes from the source documents are visually highlighted.
With the Mindbreeze InSpire 26.5 Release, new features and optimizations expand the functionality and enhance the user experience of Insight Touchpoints.
Semantic parsing of content has been further optimized, improving the preparation of information for Large Language Models (LLMs). The use of multimodal LLMs and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) can now be flexibly adapted to individual requirements.
Using conditions, rules, and user-defined prompts, administrators can precisely control the processing of image-text inputs and tailor them to different use cases to further improve the quality of the generated responses.

The document preview has been made more user-friendly with a new side panel. This allows users to more quickly use the information from the generated answers to look up additional information and context in the original document.
In addition, the processing of Microsoft PowerPoint presentations has been optimized. Generated answers now take into account the content (text, images) and context of individual slides, allowing users to directly select and open relevant slides.

To help users conduct in-depth research in the company data, you can flexibly generate additional Insight Touchpoints using the same input by clicking “New Touchpoint.”
This allows you to examine further information in a focused manner within the newly generated Insight Touchpoint and identify complex relationships more quickly.
Mindbreeze InSpire available as Agentic Tool
Mindbreeze InSpire is now available via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) as an agentic tool for the development and integration of AI agents.
Administrators can use the new “Context” section in Insight Services for RAG within the Management Center to configure and manage agentic tools. The Mindbreeze InSpire API tools Search, Suggest, Personalization, and Preview can now be easily and conveniently customized to meet specific requirements.
In addition, the publication of agentic tools as well as individual API tools can be precisely managed and controlled via the configured MCP server.

With Mindbreeze InSpire, agentic tools can be seamlessly integrated into both in-house applications and commercial AI platforms such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT or Google Gemini.
This enables Mindbreeze customers to apply the comprehensive capabilities of AI agents to their corporate data in a secure, fact-based, and rights-verified manner, develop new use cases, and incorporate corporate knowledge into existing AI workflows.

New, Extended and Updated
Connection of Data Sources & Indexing
Indexing of GraphQL-supported data sources with the Connector for GraphQL
The Mindbreeze InSpire 26.5 Release includes a Connector for GraphQL. It enables the indexing of GraphQL-based data sources and simplifies the integration of third-party applications and in-house developments with Mindbreeze InSpire.
This makes it possible, for example, to easily make information from sales and logistics systems available to users in the Insight Workplace during research activities.
Web Connector V2
Web Connector V2 is a new version of the Web Connector and offers improvements in the areas of technology, security, and performance.
To use Web Connector V2 (activation required), please contact Mindbreeze Support.
Applications
Creating Insight Apps in React
With the Mindbreeze InSpire 26.5 Release, Mindbreeze now supports the creation of Insight Apps in React. Mindbreeze customers can significantly enhance their new or existing React applications using widgets, such as a search field or a results list, and address additional use cases.
Optimized display of scientific terms and formulas in the Mindbreeze InSpire AI Chat and in AI Answers
Mindbreeze users receive additional support in interpreting and understanding documents with scientific content, such as formulas, calculations or symbols. Due to an adjusted display in Mindbreeze InSpire AI Chat and in AI Answers, scientific terms and formulas are easier to understand and adhere even more closely to correct scientific notation.
Even if the notation differs in the original document, the correct scientific notation is applied to the generated answer.

Security
Various updates
The Mindbreeze InSpire 26.5 Release includes various security updates for Chromium, Core OS, Dell Firmware, Expat, Hugging Face dependencies, Protobuf.js and Libcurl and OpenSSL libraries.
Additional Features
Mindbreeze InSpire Cloud Native – Simplified configuration and more precise permission management in app.telemetry
Mindbreeze is continuously expanding the Mindbreeze InSpire Cloud Native architecture. With this release, SaaS administrators now have access to a simplified configuration process for app.telemetry and the ability to manage app.telemetry permissions more precisely. By authorizing users via OpenID Connect (OIDC) on the app.telemetry web server, administrators can now define user permissions for app.telemetry resources in greater detail.
