Software vulnerability management is an essential part of our core product development processes. To meet our high security standards, the constant detection, evaluation and treatment of security gaps and vulnerabilities is an absolute priority. For an even faster response to potential vulnerabilities in deployed software components, a central Package Manager is being upgraded to the latest major version with the Mindbreeze InSpire 25.3 Release.
By updating Mindbreeze InSpire to the Mindbreeze InSpire 25.3 Release, customers can now use the new Database Connector. The connector is quick and easy to configure and enables administrators to index data from PostgreSQL, MySQL and Oracle databases. This enables users to use data from databases in 360-Degree Views and in the Mindbreeze InSpire AI Chat, for example.
The compatibility of the database connector with other databases can be extended through a Feature Request. Please contact us at Mindbreeze Support.
The Web Connector enables Mindbreeze customers to use various web content in their Insight Apps. To be able to use content from websites with HTTP authentication dialogues in JavaScript mode, the Web Connector has been optimized in the Mindbreeze InSpire 25.3 Release. Administrators can now use a stored credential to index websites with HTTP authentication dialogues and use this additional web content in Mindbreeze InSpire.
Furthermore, the compatibility of the Web Connector has been increased with HTTP version 1.1, which also allows the indexing of websites that are incompatible with HTTP version 1.0.
With the Mindbreeze InSpire 25.3 Release, the Microsoft File Connector receives optimizations for Mindbreeze InSpire SaaS appliances. It is now possible to download company data from local networks in the Client Service. This allows users to transfer data from local networks or edit them further.
A Kerberos authentication is explicitly required to download company data from local networks. Data can also be downloaded regardless of the file size, which requires the configuration of an additional service.
Search Experience Administrators can use the Mindbreeze Web API to obtain extensive information about search results and answers and adjust Insight Apps more precisely to their use cases. To further optimize answers, the answer quality is provided as a raw “Similarity Score” without any Boostings in the API with the Mindbreeze InSpire 25.3 Release. This enables administrators to more accurately assess the quality of an answer and configure the necessary Boostings accordingly.
Mindbreeze administrators can now monitor their indices, nodes, and masters more easily and respond to errors and warnings more quickly. With the Mindbreeze InSpire 25.3 Release, additional log pools for indices, nodes and the master are available as “Mindbreeze InSpire Warnings and Errors” in app.telemetry. To receive email notifications, administrators must configure the available notification service.
The index servlet "Index Status“ provides administrators with insights into the current indexing status and informs them which documents are searchable. With the Mindbreeze InSpire 25.3 Release, additional customization of the servlet is now possible by using scripts. Depending on the script, administrators can, for example, start an index synchronization in a producer-consumer environment based on the value of a specific metadata.
In addition to regular updates of Chromium and Python dependencies, OpenJDK has been updated to the latest version in the InSpire and Keycloak containers. Furthermore, the JVM Launcher Service has received necessary changes to increase security through the Mindbreeze InSpire 25.3 Release. The code and dependencies have been adjusted as part of a critical review.
